Youth Cycling Coaching
Get active, increase cycling skills, and have fun!
Doncaster Wheelers Cycling Club is an accredited British Cycling Go Ride Club. We provide a programme of activities and Go Ride coaching sessions aimed at young riders up to the age of 16 years.
The aim of our Go Ride sessions is to improve the ability and confidence of young riders in challenging and fun ways. The sessions include riding skills, developing confidence with individual and team exercises, games and circuit races. All sessions are led by British Cycling qualified coaches from the club supported by volunteers.
The coaching sessions are usually held at the Keepmoat Stadium in Doncaster and run from 6.30pm to 8.00pm on Monday evenings in the summer months.
There is a small charge per session attended (£2 for Doncaster Wheelers members, £3 for non-members). Riders need their own bike (in good working order), a cycle helmet, trainers & appropriate clothing to cycle in. It’s a good idea for riders to have a drink and snack with them. All riders are required to have a rider information and parental consent form completed.
The sessions are a great opportunity for young riders to have fun, keep fit and develop bike handling and skills in a safe environment.
Go-Ride Sessions Aimed at Young Riders
We will be starting our next Go-Ride coaching sessions for young riders this on Monday 10th September. The sessions take place at the Keepmoat Stadium Car Park 1 in Doncaster running from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.
The aim of the sessions is to develop rider skills and confidence and encourage riders to have fun on their bikes!
We welcome new riders aged 5 -15 and are always looking for parent volunteers to get involved and support the Go Ride club.
